Mother’s Day Support for Pregnant Mothers

Koneshpori Women Community

30 May 2025

Oceanpick organized a Mother’s Day support initiative for pregnant mothers in the Koneshpori Women Community, identifying low-income beneficiaries through maternity clinics and community networks, and providing maternity support accessories for mothers. The idea was simple, pregnancy is already physically and emotionally demanding, and financial stress makes it harder. By providing essential items that mothers typically must prioritize over other household needs, the program helped them feel more prepared and cared for. Just as importantly, it was delivered with dignity and focused on listening, understanding what mothers need, and supporting both the mother’s wellbeing and the baby’s start in life.

Why This Matters to Oceanpick

• Strengthens maternal and child well-being in coastal communities
• Builds inclusive community impact beyond environmental programs
