Value-Added Food Workshop – 1
This workshop was conducted in collaboration with the Ocean University, for the women society at 5th mile post, Trincomalee.
This marks the initial stage of a series of capacity-building initiatives aimed at empowering the women’s societies in Trincomalee, and ultimately the fisheries community nearby.
Workshop is focused on “hands-on training” in value-added fish products, along with guidance on raw material identification, sustainable sourcing, and responsible small-scale manufacturing practices.
It was designed as a progressive series, with the long-term objective being successful SME-level entrepreneurs emerging from the community.
