Boat Repair Material Donation (Storm “Ditwa” Response)

Kappalthurei
05 Dec 2025
After the Ditwa storm caused flooding in the Kappalthurei area and damaged more than six fishing boats, Oceanpick provided the materials needed to repair them so fishers could return to work. For fishing families, a damaged boat isn’t just property loss, it’s a sudden loss of income, food security, and stability. This support helped move the community from “stuck” to “recovering,” with boats restored back to operational condition. It was practical recovery assistance focused on livelihoods: not only helping people cope with the storm’s damage, but helping them rebuild the ability to earn again, with dignity and speed.
