Drinking Water & Bottle Donation (Storm “Ditwa” Response)

Muthur
03 Dec 2024
Following the severe storm “Ditwa” that affected Sri Lanka from 26.11.2025 into early December, Oceanpick responded to urgent needs in Muthur by donating 336 drinking water bottles with support from the Trincomalee Youth Organization and the Sri Lanka Navy. Beyond bottled water, Oceanpick also sent its own lorry carrying two 2,000-liter tanks of drinking water, choosing to act quickly despite difficult conditions because clean water becomes a crisis issue immediately after disasters. The initiative was straightforward but deeply human, ensuring families had safe water when access was disrupted. It also showed how Oceanpick’s logistical capacity can be used not only for business, but for fast, meaningful relief.
