Sampalthivu Beach Cleanup

Sampalthivu Beach / Nilaveli Nursery
15 Mar 2026
Another successful beach cleanup at Sampalthivu Beach near our Nilaweli Nursery, together with MEPA, NRC, and FCBS students from Eastern University.

Rather than working against a time limit, the team focused on restoring a 75-meter stretch of shoreline to the best of our ability.

Through this, approximately 30 kg of recyclable plastic, 15 kg of non-recyclable plastic, 11 kg of polythene, and 25 kg of debris were removed from the beach, helping restore the natural beauty of the coastline and protect the surrounding marine environment!
