Plastic-Free Fisheries Harbor Program
As part of our regular plastic-free fishery harbor cleanup initiative, another successful cleanup was carried out at Cod Bay in January 30th Friday 2026, reinforcing our ongoing commitment to protecting coastal and marine ecosystems.
This was conducted in partnership with CFHC Cod Bay, Ocean University Regional Centre in Cod Bay, and NRC (Negombo Recycling Centre), Trincomalee branch, bringing together stakeholders who share a common responsibility toward environmental stewardship and sustainability.
During this cleanup,
- 10 kg of recyclable plastic was collected and sent for responsible recycling
- 54 kg of total waste was removed from the harbor area
